That’s right.  We have made the plunge into the social networking world by creating ourselves a Facebook page for our customers and friends.  Once a blocked site on our work computers it is now a part of our daily regimen.  We figured with over 86% of the people using this form of networking we had better get on board and do the same.

Social Media is just a new form of communication that we have now accepted and embraced as part of our marketing mix and we hope to encourage our customers and friends and family to join us on Facebook and follow our news and stories and to post their own comments.  Social networking is just part of the ambient fabric now, a subtle flavor, like adding celery into soup.

At the end of the day, if success is interacting with our clients, which we know it is, then Facebook is a great additional way to do that.  Social networking websites have been revolutionizing the entire world so we of course want to be a part of that.  I know Facebook began in 2004 and it is now 2011 but as they say….. better late than never.  In an effort to keep in touch with our customers and friends, share stories and news, we have created a great page which we invite you to join and enjoy for all the latest BMW News, Customer Sales, BMW information articles, Sale Announcements, Specials, Competitions and more.  With more than 500 million people with a Facebook page, if Facebook were a country it would be the fourth largest population in the world and we are excited to announce our participation in this statistic.

Just to keep you up to date on the continuous forward motion and growth here at Chapman BMW on Camelback!  Growing you say? That’s right we are introducing two Service Advisors, several Mechanical Tech’s and a Tire Shop at our 1144 E Camelback Road, Certified Pre-Owned location for the added volume of our Certified Pre-Owned Department.  As of today February 1, 2011 the Certified Pre-Owned facility will now be able to handle all of its Certified Pre-Owned vehicle needs internally and in one location, covering BMW Certifications, Tire Replacement and Repairs to bring these vehicle’s back to spec and prepare them for their new “Ultimate Drivers”! 

We have also added an additional Service Advisor, expanded our Tire Department and increased the number of Mechanical Techs at the 830 E Camelback Road location, all to better handle our existing and prospective valued Service Customers.

In addition to these changes we will soon introduce a new Internet Office located in the 1144 E Camelback Location and add an new valued team member to the department!  It’s all ‘Grow’ here at Chapman BMW on Camelback and we look forward to seeing many of you in 2011 for whatever your needs are, or just to come and check out all the hot new 2011 BMW’s and the vast selection of quality Certified BMW’s.  You can of course always view our inventory at www.azbmw.com.

Chapman BMW on Camelback closed out 2010 with record numbers for sales.  Our Pre-Owned department finished off the year with a 74%, yes, SEVENTY FOUR PERCENT, increase in sales!  Impressive you say, and we agree as did BMW of North America.  At their suggestion we hosted a visit from over 60 members of the BMW Canada dealerships last week.  They were given a tour of our Chapman BMW on Camelback facilities and also had a Q & A session with our Pre-Owned Sales Manager (Newly Appointed General Sales Manager for Chapman BMW on Camelback!) – Bob Colabianchi, who also gave a presentation of our procedures and development in sales that contributed greatly to the growth in sales.  They were also treated to a presentation by one of our top salesman on what it takes to acheive and maintain this kind of growth with new and existing customer databases. 

It was a great day and a pleasure to entertain the visit and meet with our fellow BMW dealership members.  After a nice lunch at the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, the visitors piled back into their travel buses, hopefully with new ideas and fresh thoughts on how to increase their sales for 2011 and many years to come!
