Five New Electrified BMWs Coming to LA Auto Show

BMW has committed to offer 25 electrified vehicles by the year 2025, with at least a dozen of those all-electric. As a step toward fulfilling that commitment, the company will exhibit five new electric vehicles at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The showcase will feature the first exhibit in North America of the BMW i Vision Dynamics, i3s and the Mini Electric Concept. The LA Auto Show will also feature the world premiere of the BMW M3 CS, as well as the first North American showing of the both the BMW X7 SAV Concept and the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. If you can’t make it to the LA Auto Show, stay in touch with Chapman BMW on Camelback to see when these vehicles will make their first appearance in Phoenix.

i Vision Dynamics Emission-free Sports Coupe

You just need to take one look at the BMW i Vision Dynamics to know that you’re in the presence of something special. This all-electric vehicle is not your run-of-the-mill emission-free car. With the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds flat, the i Vision Dynamics can hit a top speed of 120 mph with an all-electric range of 373 miles. That solves the two most common objections to an electric vehicle: not enough power and not enough range. The stunning design of the i Vision Dynamics proves that BMW can create an electric vehicle that both performs and turns heads whether its on the move or standing still.

i3s Provides More Power Than Standard i3

The BMW i3 hybrid has been a very popular commuter vehicle that’s both fun to drive and energy efficient. But, as they say, a good thing can always be made better. The new i3s provides more power and acceleration, taking just 6.8 seconds to hit 60 mph from a dead stop. The little i3s is still able to maneuver easily through city traffic, but has a top speed of 100 mph for those times you find a long, lonesome road. The i3s will be coming soon to Chapman BMW on Camelback.

Carbon Fiber Key Behind M3 CS Efficiency

When BMW takes the wraps off the M3 CS at the Los Angeles Auto Show, attendees will see a vehicle that utilizes an extensive amount of carbon fiber to reduce weight and improve efficiency. The M3 CS is more than 100 pounds lighter than the traditional M3, an amount drivers will notice in acceleration and handling. Utilizing the TwinTurbo inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 453 horsepower, the M3 CS goes from 0 to 60 in just 3.7 seconds on its way to a top track speed of 174 mph. You’ll be able to order the M3 CS in the spring from Chapman BMW on Camelback.
